Previous experience with my life tells me that I am talking to myself with these words.

Which is absolutely fantastic because this allows me to focus on facts as I see them.

1. I make glass beads.
2. I desire adventure.

Providing some functional connection between these facts is the purpose of this blog.

Unfortunately, even when discussing things amongst myself, the basic facts and their potential connections get complicated quickly.

1. I love glass beadmaking and the lampworking process.
   • I struggle to sell glass beads and suffer the marketing process.
2. I desire long-term, long-distance, walking adventures.
   • I am not mentally, physically, or financially healthy enough for adventure at this time.

On any given Monday over the last 26 years of lampworking, I could be found trying to reinvent myself; trying to make some new and hopefully functional connection between my experience with glass beadmaking and my hopes as an adventurous human.

The fact that I am looking for answers here and now, in the phycology local to my mind, is generalized proof that things haven’t gone well. Failure is the beginning of creativity. It’s fine.

It’s another Monday looking for answers.

• I need to learn to sell the work I make.
• I need to learn to live a life focused on mental and physical health.

And so yeah, buddy, here we all are. These words will either be the beginning steps of something long lasting and effective, or they will be deleted and replaced on some Monday in the future.

Probably all our guesses are equal and not immediately optimistic, which is hilarious. Consider the remarkable potential for very nearly unobserved failure as dramatic flourish to the craftsman’s story. A plot characteristic, if you will.

Pretty basic stuff, really. Another outstanding creator’s blog, unavoidably heavy on the tagline, “Starving artist?”

Except in this interesting case it’s craft, and lack of adventuring is the starvation of concern.

Appreciate you being here. If you exist. Successful is permanently debatable, but experience says it’s definitely going to be interesting.
