The persistence of belligerent addiction and hippie lethargy overlaps with long-labored for progress for yet another day.
Smoking weed and cigarettes, eating sausage biscuits. That’s what I’m saying. Today is the day for all that. The last day. Day zero.
Morning Compliance
This is a goal oriented blog. You don’t know that, and I’m not living it. It’s day zero. Things are just trying to begin. It’s not even day one.
The value of aim on target around here is found first by “Morning Compliance.” Do I or don’t I rise to the occasion of my opportunities, is the question asked.
The business of this blog comes specifically through my physical and mental health. This is a health first enterprise. The willingness to face those challenges is easily measured by “Morning Compliance.”
Today, I am not compliant. At all. It’s Day Zero. Rules tomorrow. Cigarettes today.
Studio Assessment
It’s gonna be a good day. And not just because this is my last chance for unlimited cigarettes, coffee, and marijuana.
My studio landlord is traveling and so I have the place to myself. Which is nice. No one wants to work around a guy chain smoking cigarettes and mainlining sausage biscuits.

After a proportionately prolific amount of complaining, I was able to get the high-pressure tanks into the studio. Which is where they belong, honestly. They are not the best road trip on errands companions.
eBay Charity Auctions
Every day, in the life I want to have, has meaningful categories of activity that need looking after. Charity auctions on eBay are probably one of the coolest.

Every day, my little business lists and makes sell a group of three Zanfirico marbles on eBay. 100% of the proceeds go to food banks around the United States. Attending to this business will be a regular part of these blog posts.
I used Instagram to reach out to the Houston Food Bank for some promotional help. This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like that. I don’t have great expectations, but it’ll be interesting to see if something can be made to happen. I do need to try and help myself on this subject every day, so this is that.
I pack and ship three sales for eBay. I’ve got it down. Propaganda images included in the packages aren’t great but they’re in there.
I took these charity packages to town with two packages my studio landlord needed mailed. My third trip to town today, which is an obvious sign of insanity. The best form of financial suicide is the best example of financial success, a Startbucks vanilla latte. I got one on my way back to the studio.
Etsy
Listing, listings! I better post some listings or I will not survive!
This week (starting Monday) is my first week of self-imposed quotas in the studio. Quotas can be very difficult to establish and hold, and frustratingly, they can be very difficult to define in the first place. My quota has multiple measurements for these reasons. Total dollars posted to Etsy is one of the categories. Goals here are easily set but… yeah, this job isn’t easy to follow through with.

I don’t finish until 8:30 pm, but I am able to list 24 items to Etsy. 20 single marble beads and 4 sets of 3 marbles. This is $800 in inventory. Quota is $200/day. So this definitely helps. It covers 4 days of the minimum expectations.
Lampworking
I’d like to tell you that I lampworked. I’d like to tell you that I had the strength and personal discipline to make some glass this evening. But I did not.
I went to Waffle House. It’s Day Zero. Waffle House must be done.
Conclusion
It’s been a pretty good day, I must admit. As a person who enjoys various activities of degeneracy, I do enjoy a day zero. But, I’ve had too many. I need to change.
It’s easy to call a random Friday day zero. To say that change is coming tomorrow.
What will tomorrow say is the obvious question.
On the positive size, I was able to get myself to remove the oxygen tanks from my van, which is nice. I also got caught up on my Etsy and eBay mess caused by a couple of days of doing more cigarettes and fast food than actually acting responsibly.
I have a great life. Let’s see if I can keep it.
I have great dreams. Let’s see if I will reach for them.
