Tuesday, September 8th, 2026. Studio Uncle Fish, Irmo, South Carolina.
It can be an uncommon pleasure, life as a vanilla degenerate. Inefficiency in comparison to normalcy is where a good chunk of the joy comes from, and so not being frustrated but rather pampered by the hour it takes to bathe from a bowl, this is a required leared skill.
Homelessness, even clean-shirt voluntary homelessness, is highly inefficient. And that’s fine because bathing in the Buckies parking lot, the metal box of my life parked in dead sun on asphalt, is the gift of yet one more prepaid red-neck spa.
No Buckies for me today. (I’m not a fan of Buckies. If you know what life is worth, you will not look for brisket at Buckies. Abandon your wife or a couple of your children at Buckies? Sure. That makes social and architectural sense. But buddy, please, the brisket? Have some water.) I took my van bath behind the glass shop. It took a long time, is my point, because I enjoyed it. And my sausage biscuit from BoJangles, yes, thank you.
I don’t get into the studio until almost 11:30 a.m., which is not how the game of beadmaking survival works.
I need to do better. At least I smell better. And I didn’t wake up at Buckies.

In a progressive future, there will be a link to a tour of the glass shop.

eBay Charity Auctions
After cleaning the studio, the first order of business is national service. Read about my 100% donation eBay charity auctions program, benefiting food programs around the United States, by clicking here. Link to live auctions by clicking here.
It took some time, but before going back to the glass shop to bathe, I was able to make two calls from a gas station parking lot and things are evolving.
Two days ago, my account on eBay for charity auctions was “permanently and irrevocably suspended” due to me being a “security risk to the community.” Details in the previous days posts.
Overnight, I did receive a payment link from eBay. I was told this cpuld take 3 business days. It did not. I am very thankful. An odd amount of verification for such a thing, but, following the email instructions, I was able to pay eBay the $40.11 I owed them from 2014.

I called eBay from the account that owed the money, ArtMadeFood, and was able to verify that this account is now in good standing.
I made a second call from my suspended account I was using for charity auctions, ZanfiricoHanks, and, after again being told I am permanently removed from eBay for high risk, I was able to transfer to a manager.
The manager assured me that I was definitely not permanently banned from the platform. He agreed that this issue was over $40.11 from 2014 and not an actual or suspected risk to the eBay community.
He did tell me that it would take several days to address my payment and the suspension of my account. Probably three. He very kindly and professionally offered to call me in three days, and we can both look at where things are at then.
The supervisor told me that he thinks I should have an open account at that time.
Excellent. I crashed my charity opportunity because of back billed issues from 2014, and it looks as though I may be able to salvage the situation.
Etsy
Shop the Zanfirico Harold Etsy store by clicking here. You buy, I backpack.
Etsy is cold to dead today. I have not listed new items in 11 days, including today. This is algorithmic self-suffocation.
To be seen on Etsy via algorithm, the basics are:
- Post every day
- Get positive reviews
Because I do not have my own audience and so can not drive customers to my store from some external place like social media, I am algorithm dependent. Which is not good. It’s an entrepreneurial nightmare, lol. But, that’s how it is. Fixing this will take a very long time and may never work. That would be bad, obviously. I am working on the problems the best I can, is all I can show myself.
Lampworking
In a progressive future, there will be a link to photograph history or plans or some shit.
Well, buddy, it’s fifteen minutes before midnight, and I’m at the gas station eating an ice cream bar.
Pretty good day in the studio, although there’s no finished stuffs in the kiln. Which is not how the game of beadmaking survival works.
Spent the early part of the day making quarter cores. I have some over length white cane that I started using up today and that was quite fun because the preps are much longer than they regularly would be.
Experiments resume with Cooney cane. I really like working with the stuff. My materials are pretty limited, but I’m hopeful that I can put together a bunch of prep that looks pretty good with this type of cane over the next many weeks.

Conclusion
Buddy, I missed my charity auction program. I’m not gonna lie. Shit frustrates me.
Need to get my act together with Etsy, or I’m gonna starve to death.
The work I’m doing is gonna catch up with reality. It is gonna take some time, but things are getting there.
The big news for me at this particular moment is that my plan is to quit smoking cigarettes (again) tomorrow. Good luck to me.
This business has the very simple goal of “Sell beads, go backpacking.” It’s normal logic to focus on the financial demands, but it’s actually first an issue of my mental and physical strength. In addition to earning money, I can beg, borrow, and steal it. Mental and physical health is only found through work.
If I want to go backpacking in the spring, I need to sell a boatload of beads and improve myself greatly. These are facts.
