Saturday, September 12th, 2026. Studio Uncle Fish, Irmo, South Carolina.

Another go at being not a cigarette smoker, which is sure to be enjoyable.

Overcast and almost cool this morning. Coffee, reggae, and herb in my van this morning. What a great life.

I take a short walk, about a mile, a beautifully chill morning.

The studio door from my door. Buddy, at first, the vandweller needs a fan to sleep in the high nighttime temperatures of summertime. After months, the rains come, and the temperatures drop, and the vandweller needs the fan to fight mosquitoes. It gets cool. And the vandweller still sleeps in a 15 mph wind from the fan at their feet because of mosquitoes.

Studio Assessment

In a progressive future, there will be a link to a tour of the glass shop.

I don’t start moving my life and mind into the glass shop until after 10:30 am.

Nothing but prep from the kiln. Sad. This is no way to win at the game of beadmaking survival.

Things look good in the studio by about 11:20 am. I’ve got a good day lined up.

Reball looking happy and healthy. Love a yard dog because I’m one too.

eBay Charity Auctions

After cleaning the studio, the first order of business is national service. Read about my 100% donation eBay charity auctions program, benefiting food programs around the United States, by clicking here. Link to live auctions by clicking here.

The waters of eBay are trying to rewarm after my account suspension. I’m thrilled to see it. I don’t like the way three auctions look, lol. I want five. Must wait until 3 pm tomorrow, and then there will be five. How long can I hold that? I don’t know. Do I get shut down first, is my question.
Buddy, I got negative feedback. And then, of course, I responded to it incorrectly and oddly.

I had customer leave negative feedback on my eBay charity account because they won a three Zanfirico marble auction and never received their items.

That’s true. Because the package went missing. Also, the buyer was fully refunded. And, I was in contact with the buyer about the missing package on August 6th. I initiated the initial conversation, and I initiated the refund.

But, of course, I’m an idiot, and I didn’t realize this sale was a month ago. I thought this dude was complaining about an auction that got caught up in my recent account suspension, and that’s how I responded to the issue, which was not the correct or the reasonable thing to do.

I messaged the buyer on eBay. I messaged eBay that my response to his feedback is incorrect and should be removed.

So, yeah. Another moment of spectacle in the management department. So dumb. Would have taken me less time and caused less trouble to respond correctly: the post office ate your package, sorry about that, you were fully refunded weeks ago.

Buddy, eBay is trying to do the thing. I need to put in time here, but… my focus is better elsewhere at the moment.

Etsy

Shop the Zanfirico Harold Etsy store by clicking here. You buy, I backpack.

I’m able to pack and ship one. Thank god.

Two of the items sold were things that I put on sale. The purchase went through relatively quickly after these items were put on sale, which is interesting but has not been repeated.

There’s nothing from the kiln split, and I have big plans for Etsy tomorrow, so I’m just gonna let it go for now.

Driving to the post office at noon.

Lampworking

In a progressive future, there will be a link to photograph history or plans or some shit.

Eat frozen cherries and roasted chicken in the grocery store parking parking. I get back to yhe studio and start working at 3pm. Pretty lax…

I work to advance the double lay lay prep that I have. I don’t do a very good job with it, which spawns existential dread.

Conclusion

I have no idea how I’m gonna make my life work, lol. I recognize myself continuing to be in a bad situation. This blog is embarrassing. I end the day defeated. Yikes.
