Monday, September 14th, 2026. Studio Uncle Fish, Irmo, South Carolina.

Up by alarm. Well, up by alarm after hitting the snooze button once. Moving around, looking for a good day at about 6:30.

Another day where I have the opportunity to change. I can change myself. I have the opportunity right now.

Morning walk of about 4.5 miles. Van bath and van cleaning over a second pot of coffee. Into the studio clean shaven at 10:35 am.

Studio Assessment

In a progressive future, there will be a link to a tour of the glass shop.

I did not make any glass yesterday, and so there is no kiln split. This is not how the game of beadmaking survival works. I need to finish stuffs!

eBay Charity Auctions

After cleaning the studio, the first order of business is national service. Read about my 100% donation eBay charity auctions program, benefiting food programs around the United States, by clicking here. Link to live auctions by clicking here.

Buddy, first auction following account suspension fiasco closes today! This is very good. Prices are warning, trying for mild. Auction #3 reaches 2/3rds retail. All five have bids. Excellent!

I am so happy to have a charity auction closing today. The way the craft gods intended it.

Donation finals are not yet showing the recent suspension. It could take a week or so.

I have two auctions scheduled, and so while this situation could benefit from my time, I chose to press on at 11 am.

Etsy

Shop the Zanfirico Harold Etsy store by clicking here. You buy, I backpack.

It takes forever, but I do get eight listings or something up on Etsy. Probably half are listed at 25% discount. Organizational wise, things are looking better, so that’s nice. But, the work is lame and the prices are low and I have little expectation anything will sell. And so, yeah.

I write the two thank you notes from yesterday, and I’m in the van to the post office at 1 pm.

Lampworking

In a progressive future, there will be a link to photograph history or plans or some shit.

I try to finish the prep that I have that is very unimpressive rainbow. I still have two segments left.

Probably my favorite part about this Zanfirico Hanks idea is that it lets me explore material. And right now, the material I’m exploring is subpar by my own expectations, which makes the experience kind of frustrating.

I lampwork until 9:30 pm. when I make the decision to end my short few hours free of cigarettes and despicable culinary behavior. I drive to the gas station for American Spirits and Waffle House for a del monaco.

So that’s total capitulation of all self promise in short order. Again. Which is fantastic. Obviously.

Conclusion

No change if I can’t change. Spending money faster than I’m earning the last month. Cigarettes. Shit food. No exercise.

The good news here is that I am confident that I’ve made the right decision with this Zanfirico Hanks situation. The idea probably won’t work. But, it’s still my best play. And I like it.

Sell beads. Go backpacking.
