Saturday, September 19, 2026. Studio Uncle Fish, Irmo, South Carolina.

The days fly by, already the 19th of September. I wake up at five thirty in the morning to eat with a breakfast group in Colombia. I get a pack of cigarettes on the way back north to the studio. Stressed out, lol, the usual excuses.

Should be a good day in the shop. I don’t get started until after 11 AM, which is too late. And that’s how things have been going recently. Getting started too late in the day. Need to do better.

In a progressive future, there will be a link to a tour of the glass shop.

eBay Charity Auctions

After cleaning the studio, the first order of business is national service. Read about my 100% donation eBay charity auctions program, benefiting food programs around the United States, by clicking here. Link to live auctions by clicking here.

The promotional idea I had from yesterday is a short (3 minutes?) report on the numbers of Zanfirico Hanks for a week. Like an economics report for the charity auctions and collections. I find this information interesting. Would anyone else.

I mean, bro. This is interesting, right?
There is definitely a lot to learn from it from my perspective.
Lol, AI is such a nightmare. More thoughts than you ever needed to have about anything.

Also possible to slow things down and go for >8 minutes, do the report over lampworking footage, include artistic info.

Once per week. Cpuld be continued into hiking season. Could be used as value to find fulfillment labor and buyers for charity during hiking season.

Most likely, these hopes are just delusions. If I’m gonna start something, it needs to be on Sunday, that’s tomorrow, and I’m just not prepared.

I’m again in a situation where the numbers say that this operation needs help, and I just don’t have the help to give. I work some on the promotion idea that I have, but I already have doubts. I’m here in this blog, basically talking to myself, and that kind of observation can be seen in these auctions as well. Operating in dead space.

I won’t be going to town again today, so I skip the prospect of packing ship. I’m in an awkward off schedule position with listings, but I still have a couple scheduled, so I can pass on that too.

Etsy

Shop the Zanfirico Harold Etsy store by clicking here. You buy, I backpack.

No money, no horses. The place is dead.

There is nothing to pack and ship. What I have to list is marbles, and I’m gonna hold off on those for some answers coming in the mail tomorrow.

Off of etsy, I ordered style H. Although looking at this picture, I think I should have gone with style G.
Adding to the AI slop in this world is the new Zanfirico Hanks logo. This will be on the coasters ordered above and probably will be invisible because I ordered the dark colored ones.

I made some purchases with money I don’t have off the internet last night. I purchased coasters with edges, they’re like recessed little pieces of wood where you can put your drink. Except I will use them as a platform, a little display case, to sell marbles in.

I ordered some custom logoed ones pictured above from Etsy and some cheap bamboo ones that can be here tomorrow from Amazon. I can change all of my listings from sets of thee marbles at seventy-five dollars to these coasters full of marbles at some higher price. Then, the only availability for smaller, more reasonable amounts of marbles will be eBay charity auctions. My store can focus on trying to find sales for collections. That’s allegedly my job here with Zanfirico Hanks. I figure a coaster can fit ten to twenty marbles on it. I have no idea. So, $250-500. Good luck with that.

Moving on at about noon.

Lampworking

In a progressive future, there will be a link to photograph history or plans or some shit.

Interesting day in the shop.

Buddy, I have been having a really hard time tracking myself to the shop. That’s like an “oh, it’s me, not you” relationship situation with my glass. It sucks honestly, lol. Fuck. I feel incapable/unworthy/incompetent/failed. And then my glass is like, “Well, ah, thanks for sharing, but it’s Monday.”

Anyways, there are multiple reasons here, but the most interesting one is self definition. Like, I’m not trying to be a beadmaker or any version of studio artist; my glass isn’t asking me to, it doesn’t for a second think I’m capable of it, so it doesn’t even matter. Lol. Anyways, there is Zanfirico Hanks. The answer here. The new third point on the triangle. I can watch both me and my glass shop struggle with it. It’s so interesting. Like I brought a new bag of catnip home to my ornery cats.

Marbles of the last silver stuff. Ball beads of Cooney and some old ribbon on ribbon.

Experiments to fill marble cores with vac chino from the 4mm color stock I have without bleeding are pretty fucking successful. It seems like there is the begging of a durable answer here.

Anyway. Formula for marbles that don’t suck advances, which brings out recognition of my shop and myself that Zanfirico Hanks has some metal perhaps.

Conclusion

My health isn’t great. I need to make changes (like 3 decades ago). I get to try tomorrow, probably.

Sell beads. Go backpacking.

Production and sale of Zanfirico beads to support long-term, long-distance backpacking.
