Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026. Studio Uncle Fish, Irmo, South Carolina. These posts are published in the late morning of the next day.

The temperature has cooled. It’s overcast. I slept without the fan last night, first in months, and with the doors closed, unheard of. Wonderful vanlife.

Rather than using this as an ideal opportunity to improve my living life, I drove to Starbucks and cigarettes.

Absolutely fantastic. It was truly an enjoyable morning. Fall is coming. Let’s hope that’s not foreshadowing. After all, it’s always autumn in Hippadelphia.

Studio Assessment

In a progressive future, there will be a link to a tour of the glass shop.

Buddy, the shop is clean and ready to go! Rose says hello. She’s a friendly friend to all.
Puddle before split. The double layer goes all to Etsy to fit into the new split system. Cooney cane split heavily towards eBay.

eBay Charity Auctions

After cleaning the studio, the first order of business is national service. Read about my 100% donation eBay charity auctions program, benefiting food programs around the United States, by clicking here. Link to live auctions by clicking here.

Some warmth! Thrilling. I have no evidence to show it is from promo actions I have taken.

I have three remaining scheduled auctions, that’s today, and two others. None awaiting payment. I am able to ship one. I see that yet one more package is looking lost, never scanned by USPS. This is not good and I don’t understand it, more problems in a month than in 10-20 years.

Etsy

Shop the Zanfirico Harold Etsy store by clicking here. You buy, I backpack.

I am able to pack two purchases. Bless. Very much needed.

I am able to list 10 marble sets. I think they look better than the sets I had up before. I tried to match colors. It’s really interesting to me that these objects garner no immediate interest. In years previous, a double a rainbow marble would have gotten that least a little excitement and views. But now? Buddy, crickets would be an exaggeration.

My understanding of how to simplify the Zanfirico Hanks split has me reorganizing my potential inventory items. I don’t believe I’ve ever had so much unsold work in my life. Piles of glass.

Lampworking

In a progressive future, there will be a link to photograph history or plans or some shit.

It takes a good bit of time to get to lampworking, I don’t think I start at the bench until 4 pm. I finish the red, black, and gray Cooney cane marble segments. I make a quarter prep with Cooney cane in blue ish, and run that to 4 ball beads. Oxygen tank running out, I make a very small reball pendant.

I cut out before 10pm.

Conclusion

It’s interesting to have a good day in the context of malaise. Perhaps despair, lol, I don’t know. A good day these days feels like a satisfying meal on the Titanic. Tasty, but I’m still gonna drown.

Sell beads. Go backpacking.

Production and sale of Zanfirico beads to support long-term, long-distance backpacking.
